Job and Internship Resources
University of Michigan/UCC Resources
- Handshake: A pathway to career connections. Through this tool you can: Explore job and internship openings, engage in recruiting activities with employers, and develop and track your goals and next steps. You can also identify University Career Center events, workshops, and fairs and schedule an appointment with a UCC coach to discuss your ideas, and develop plans, and strategies related to graduate/professional schools, and employment.

- Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute: This is a nonprofit and nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization committed to developing the next generation of Latino leaders. The institute offers programs and experiences designed for Latinx students.
- Diversity Employers | Job Search Engine: This site includes job and internship postings from employers that indicate they support diversity.
- Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE): This national non-profit organization is dedicated to the employment, development and advancement of aspiring Latino professionals.
- Hispanic/Latino Professionals Association(HLPA): This association lists organizations who indicate they have a commitment to diversity and the Hispanic/Latinx community.
- iHispano: Jobs and Careers for Latino Professionals: This website showcases specific organizations, upcoming networking events and jobs/internship opportunities.
- Jobs for People of Color in Tech: This platform connects people of color with job opportunities in the tech industry.
- Latinx Alliances | Teach for America: Teach For America (TFA) works to confront educational inequity by training individuals to teach pre-K-12 students in one of 50 regions throughout the country. TFA offers a culturally responsive Latinx leadership network that supports those in pursuit of educational equity in the United States. TFA requires a two year commitment.
- Saludos: This resource works to connect Hispanic/Latinx bilingual professionals with organizations seeking diversity in their workplaces.
Opportunities Related to Graduate & Professional School
- AGEP - Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate: This program is committed to increasing the numbers of underrepresented minorities (URMs), including those with disabilities, entering and completing STEM graduate education and postdoctoral training to levels that are representative of the available pool.
- AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students: This fellowship, for PhD students, is designed to increase the number of minority CPAs available to serve as role models and mentors to young people in the academic environment and university classrooms.
- The Chicago Committee’s Legal Trek Program: This summer program, hosted by the Chicago Committee and DePaul University College of Law, is available for diverse undergraduate students interested in the legal profession. In this eight program, students learn about different practice areas, the law school application process, LSAT prep, participate in mock negotiations, a mock trial, and visit legal places of employment. Participatnts interact with attorney volunteers who serve as mentors and coaches for the Program.

University of Michigan/UCC Resources
- UCAN: UCAN (University Career Alumni Network) is a U of M resource that allows students to connect with university alumni across any broad spectrum of fields, or majors, to gain insight or advice on resumes, interviewing tips, personal statements, and so much more. When exploring Alumni, in the search bar type in Hispanic and you can also search Latinx. You will see all the alumni that have self-identified as Hispanic or Latinx. These Alumni are willingly donating their time on this platform to help students in any way they can with guiding their future steps beyond college.

- Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting: This organization provides professional development workshops and career resources to its members in order to empower and develop future leaders. It offers opportunities to connect with Latinx professionals through a variety of networking events. There is no cost for a basic membership.
- Latin Business Association: This association focuses on Latino-owned businesses in California, and is the largest Latin business organization in the nation.
- Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies | Culture, The Culture Marketing Council: This association is a trade organization representing the Hispanic marketing, communications, and media industry.
- Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR): This association focuses on the inclusion of Hispanics in corporate America at a level commensurate with the economic contributions of the Hispanic population.
- Jopwell: This is a career advancement platform for Black, Latinx, and Native American students and professionals. This start up assist companies with diversity recruitment, marketing, and retention efforts and provides resources for individuals seeking jobs and internships.
- Prospanica: This organization supports Hispanic MBAs and business professionals in achieving their educational, economic and social potential. It hosts annual conferences and provides access to experts in the field. Prospanica also awards scholarships for graduate education to qualified individuals.
- Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanic & Native Americans in Science: This national organization is working to foster the success of Chicano/Hispanic and Native American scientists, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers and positions of leadership in STEM.
- Latinos in Science and Engineering: This group's focus is to promote, cultivate, and honor excellence in education and leadership among Latino engineers and scientists. It offers leadership development programs, opportunities to develop career-related networks. A scholarship program is available to increase the number of Latino students completing their higher education goals in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
- National Association of Hispanic Nurses: This association is committed to advancing the health in Hispanic communities and to lead, promote, and advocate for educational, professional, and leadership opportunities for Hispanic nurses. Scholarships are available to NAHN members.
- National Hispanic Medical Association: This organization is dedicated to empowering Hispanic physicians to be leaders who will help eliminate health disparities and improve the health of Hispanics. In the NHMA Career Center section of the website, there are job postings through the National Healthcare Career Network, and a variety of resources for job searchers.
- Hispanic National Bar Association: HNBA is a nonpartisan, national organization that represents the interests of Hispanic legal professionals, and advocates for Hispanic attorneys, judges, law professors, legal assistants and law students in the United States. HNBA also offers scholarships and stipends to assist Latinx students in their educational and professional development pursuits.
- National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals: This organization is committed to advancing sustainable Hispanic homeownership. NAHREP accomplishes its mission by educating and empowering real estate professionals who serve Hispanic home buyers & sellers.

- Diversity Inc. Career Center: This publication features job listings from the publishers of Diversity Inc., as well as helpful articles and webinars. They also feature a list of “Top 50 for Diversity”.
- UnidosUS—formerly known as National Council of La Raza (NCLR): This organization advocates for Latinos in the areas of civic engagement, civil rights and immigration, education, workforce, and the economy, health, and housing.
- Hispanic Network Magazine | A Latino Business & Employment Magazine: This is a source for employment and business opportunities targeting #Hispanics, #Latinx and #Native Americans.
